Back at Momma’s Antiques with Katelin
July 30, 2017
When Katelin first told me her idea for Back at Momma’s Antiques, I instantly knew we had to do a session together! I was beyond excited when she asked me to photograph all of her “junk.” But, when she told me she wanted to sit in the back of her old Chevy with all that “junk,” I knew we were going to have a lot of fun. And we did! There were a lot of laughs, especially after I fell in her ditch and as I made her drive back and forth down her driveway for the most perfect pictures.
There is no doubt in my mind she will be successful in this venture! All of her pieces seem to have a history and a story, and that’s what drives her. She says, “the dirtier and rustier, the richer the story.” You can see in each of her items that’s exactly what she’s looking for when she’s picking through an old barn for the perfect pieces. When it comes to styling she certainly has a talent. It was a lot of fun to sit back and watch her work as she styled each piece to make it perfect. I can’t wait to work with her on styled shoots in the future. She is so talented and has an obvious passion for what she is up to.
